Time

People tend to claim that time is the healing master when it comes to a wounded heart and broken will. A repeated phrase that goes like “Time heals everything.” is always trending when someone tries to bright some broken heart’s life and plant a new seed of hope in the middle of forsaken dreams field.

Time does not heal anything. A wound will eventually turn to a scar that will never vanish. The scar will remain passive until a trigger activates it by any related incident and then the scar goes back to the wound state. Time is not a primary joint in this infinite equation.

Time can even be a debacle if the triggers that turn the scar to a wound are frequent. Normally the triggers are uncontrollable and they pop up with no warnings and that makes it even worse. The unexpected trigger makes time a lethal element not a rejuvenating substance.

Time is not a healer. The healer is the one who will see your scars and caress them, embrace your hidden weakness and dry your wet cheeks. The healer who has no name, the healer who hasn’t shown up, the healer who has the power of resurrection, the healer who gives a rebirth to shredded past and burned interior. A healer who doesn’t need medicine nor herbs to heal, a healer whose hands are milder than an angel wing and better than a skilled surgeon, a healer whose feet are prettier than jewellery and a heart clearer than crystal.

The healer heals what everyone and everything did to someone, including what time did. Time is not a healer, it is a venom that can be cured by someone with a living, giving and forgiving heart.
